A mother fears she will never be able to return to her home at City Quay in Dundee after being evacuated when the roof was ripped off by Storm Frank.
Gill Jones and her eight-year-old daughter Cara are staying with family after fleeing the Gourlay Yard penthouse flat.
Safety fears led to 33 properties being evacuated by police on Tuesday night and many evacuees are being put up in hotels. Residents now face an anxious wait to find out when they can return but Gill says she might never go back.
She said: “I personally don’t think I’ll go back. My daughter was petrified with what happened.”
Factors Graham and Sibbald have been coordinating repair efforts.

Although there was no ground level flooding, damage from rainwater was expected and large parts of Gourlay Yard are still cordoned off for safety reasons.
Gill said she was given some hope when she received a call from the council on Wednesday but this was quickly dashed.
She said: “When I phoned Graham and Sibbald they said they didn’t know anything.
“They were down there with an electrician but supposedly they couldn’t get up to the roof.”
No one from Graham and Sibbald was available to speak to The Courier.
