The Mackinnon Centre for disabled adults has a “state-of-the-art feel” thanks to a £1.8 million refurbishment, inspectors have said.
It has a 10-bed unit to provide respite care and helps users to improve their skills and take part in social activities.
The Care Inspectorate has given it a “very good” rating for its care, staffing and management.
A report said: “This is a high-quality service which supports its staff to provide effective and individualised support for the people who use the service.
“They provide a relaxed environment, well-trained and enthusiastic staff, individualised care and strong quality assurance.”
Since the inspectors’ previous visit, the council-run centre in Broughty Ferry has undergone a revamp.
The report said: “The environment of the respite unit now has greater accessibility and facilities for people with a physical disability.”
One service user told the inspectors: “I love coming here they look after me so well and over time I have made friends here.”
