Granddad says Kairon was tying shoelace when A90 tragedy struck

The nine-year-old boy who died after being struck by a car on the A90 at the weekend was bending down to tie his shoelace when the tragedy happened, his grandfather has said.
Kairon McKay was killed on Friday night while out playing with two older friends.
He and his mother Laura McKay, from the Perth area, were staying with friends in Inchture.
Although Kairon and his friends had been supposed to be playing in Inchture, they were seen on the A90 shortly before the tragedy.
Kairon’s grandfather, Hector Mackay, said: “Kairon was not killed on his skateboard on a busy road.
“The truth is, he was bending down at the side of the road, tying his lace.”
Meanwhile, an internet troll who sent an upsetting message to Laura McKay in the aftermath of the tragedy declined an invitation to comment or apologise when confronted by The Courier.
She has since deleted her Facebook account.
