A £223,000 investment in cycling and walking routes across Dundee aims to make the city safer and more accessible to all.
Funding from the Scottish Government has been made available.
A report to go before councillors tonight will ask for £40,000 for lowering kerbs and making footpaths more accessible to vulnerable pedestrians, £93,000 to improve pedestrian crossings and other safety measures, £80,000 to join up more of the city’s cycle routes and £10,000 for outdoors access projects.
Bill Campbell, deputy convener of the city development committee, which will consider the plans, said: “For more than a decade in partnership with the Scottish Government we have been carrying out work on our streets and paths to make it easier and safer to walk and cycle.
“Our aim is to make it as easy as possible to enjoy these physical and low emission activities in Dundee, and as a result have a healthier population.”
