Favourable forecast for Dundee’s official firework displays

Huge crowds are expected to converge on two Dundee parks this weekend for the city council’s annual firework displays.
Baxter Park and Lochee Park will host the traditional Guy Fawkes celebrations, which attracted tens of thousands of spectators in 2010.
This year music will accompany the displays which take place from 7pm to 7.25pm on Saturday. Lighting of the bonfire at both parks is at 6.15pm.
So far the forecast looks good, with conditions expected to be dry and with only light wind.
Convener of the council’s environment committee Councillor Bob Duncan said: ”Keep safe and be entertained by attending the organised displays by Dundee City Council.
”We are all looking forward to spectacular musical fireworks displays at Baxter and Lochee parks.”
