Prince William warns of ‘legal high’ dangers on Dundee visit
ByStefan Morkis
Prince William has warned about the dangers of legal highs after revealing how he has encountered critically ill victims when working as an air ambulance pilot.
The Earl and Countess of Strathearn visited Dundee yesterday and discussed the dangers of psychoactive substances with staff at The Corner youth project.
Prince William heard the problem remains widespread in Dundee and said: “I don’t know why there are legal highs. We have been called out when people are having fits or cardiac arrests after taking them.”
Sexual health nurse Jackie Fitzpatrick said the Royal couple had “seemed really interested and passionate” about the work of The Corner.
Prince William also praised the redevelopment of Dundee waterfront, telling Lord Provost Bob Duncan it will be “wonderful when completed”.
