ByThe Courier Reporter
Some of Scotland’s best young traditional musicians can be seen in action at the Gardyne Theatre on Thursday.
Students from Plockton Music School are set to perform in Dundee as part of their annual Scottish tour.
The performance by S6 students of Sgoil Chiil Na Gidhealtachd, The National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music, will see them feature in a variety of combinations, from solos right up to a full nine-piece band.
Also appearing will be the Tayside Young Fiddlers, soon to be celebrating their 20th anniversary, and the Dundee Gaelic Choir.
The proceeds of the concert are being shared between Friends of Plockton Music School and the Marra family’s El Sistema appeal, in memory of the late Michael Marra.
Tickets are available from Dundee box office on 01382 434940.
