ByThe Courier Reporter
Dundee City Council education convener Stewart Hunter has condemned vandals who broke into the school grounds at Craigiebarns Primary, camped over the weekend and broke two large windows.
The windows, thought to have been at the dining room, are estimated to have cost around £800 to fix.
Police are appealing for information after the windows were broken some time between 6.30pm on Friday and 7.15am on Monday.
A police spokesman said there were signs people were camping in the school grounds over the weekend and officers are keen to trace them.
Mr Hunter said: “I condemn this vandalism which has caused unnecessary expense to the council during challenging financial times.
“Anyone with any information should contact police.”
Anyone with any information is asked to phone police on 101.
