Dundee University is celebrating the success of this year’s Duncan of Jordanstone Degree Show after record numbers flocked to see it in the event’s 125th year.
Around 12,500 visitors took in the work of 290 graduating students from the college of art and design last week.
Professor Tom Inns, dean of DJCAD, said, “The quality of this year’s degree show was absolutely first class and our graduating students have once again excelled in producing an exhibition that is thought-provoking, challenges convention and displays huge amounts of technical ability.”
Attendee numbers were bolstered by visits from schools, community groups, industry professionals and other organisations.
The university estimates the benefit the Degree Show brings to the local economy by attracting visitors to the city to be around £1.5 million.
