Adult visitors to Dundee Science Centre will be able to combine stargazing with live music next week.
Stevie Anderson and Gavin McGinty, of the band Anderson McGinty Webster Ward and Fisher, will join Jon Hoad to entertain the 18-plus audience at Dundee Science Lates, a one-off event being held on Wednesday from 7pm.
Science learning officer Michael Smith said: “We’re opening up Dundee Science Centre to adults only for a night of exciting shows, demos and talks linked to a number of Scottish-based investigations into our universe.
“As well as speakers from the Royal Observatory Edinburgh, we’re also hoping for clear skies to allow Dundee Astronomical Society to take guests outside for a bit of stargazing.”
There will also be a cash bar.
As part of Dundee Science Festival, free family events are also being staged at Menzieshill community centre on Thursday night and the Finmill centre on November 14 from 6.30pm.
Visitors will be able to take part in hands-on activities and learn about topics such as navigating in space and what chromosomes look like.
