A group of five Dundee and Angus College students enjoyed a dream visit to the White House thanks to the helping hand of the American vice-president’s wife.
The students are just back from a two-week exchange trip to NOVA (North Virginia Community College), which is based in and around Washington DC.
A highlight of the trip was a highly-privileged visit to the US President’s official residence something which is by invitation only due to a number of intruder incidents at the White House.
Maciek Lewandowski, Bobby Craig, Stuart Brown, Cameron Bryce and Jordan Poland received the invite through NOVA.
Recalling their visit, Jordan, 20, said: “Jill Biden, wife of vice-president Joe Biden, actually works at NOVA and arranged for the D&A contingent to visit the White House.”
She added: “We also made brilliant connections with our US classmates, particularly while building a website together, and enjoyed fantastic relationships with our host families.”
