Police Scotland have drafted in experts from Dundee University to help them identify the body of a man found on Skye last September.
The body was recoveredfrom the shore at Kyleakin, near to the Skye Bridge, shortly after 9am on Monday September 9.
Although the man was seen walking along the verge half a mile from the bridge around 6.45am the day before, police have been unable to identify the man.
Twenty four names have been given to the police but each one was subsequently ruled out of the inquiry.
They have now asked experts from the university’s Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification to create a facial reconstruction of the man.
It is believed the man may be aged between mid-40s to early 60s. He had a moustache and short dark hair that was going grey.
His face and forearms were suntanned with freckles on his forehead, across his nose and on his arms.
He was white, 5’10” tall, slim build, and weighed 13 stone. His teeth were in poor condition with a number of the teeth on top and bottom jaws broken or missing.
Anyone who can identify him should call 101.
