Stewart Hosie says Osborne’s pound comments were ‘political posturing’

SNP treasury spokesman Stewart Hosie has insisted it would be best for an independent Scotland to keep the pound.
He was taking part in a Friday question and answer session at Abertay University students’ association.
The Dundee East MP said: “It’s always interesting to speak to students and this has been a particularly interesting week.
“George Osborne’s intervention in the currency debate has already provoked a backlash from Scots.
“Osborne’s statement is political posturing and may perhaps be considered as the start of negotiations which the Westminster Government previously said they would not get involved in, pre-independence.
“Online polls today show that the initial reaction of Scots is anger at being bullied.”
