Passengers on a Dundee bus had to flee the vehicle when smoke was spotted on board.
The Stagecoach bus was travelling on Lochee Road at 10.20am when the driver noticed smoke.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus used a jet hosereel, and a CO2 extinguished to put out the fire.
A spokesman for Stagecoach East Scotland said: “We can confirm that a bus on the 57 service travelling from Perth to Dundee via Blairgowrie was involved in an incident on Lochee Road, Dundee, around 10.20am today.
“The bus was stationary at a bus stop while the driver investigated a technical fault when he noticed the presence of smoke. The driver followed our safety procedures by disembarking passengers from the bus and calling the fire service as a precaution.
“No injuries were reported. However, safety is our absolute priority and we are investigating the circumstances involved in the incident.”
