A Dundee councillor says he will be demanding an explanation after revellers attending the WestFest were hit with parking tickets.
Festivalgoers were left outraged after their vehicles were targeted near Magdalen Green.
Lisa Thompson was one of those who got a ticket. She had been attending the event with her husband and parked on a grass verge by the green.
She said: “It is a bit of a grey area.
“I understand that in normal circumstances the way we parked wouldn’t be right, but it is a charity event and there was nowhere else to park.

“Hundreds of cars did exactly the same thing and they all got ticketed.
“It seems rather harsh, particularly as they didn’t put cones out or anything.”
Others took to social media to express their outrage, with one person suggesting that the council ticketing festival goers was “the wrong way to make a buck”.
