Former Dundee school gatehouse could become family home

A 19th-century Dundee school gatehouse could be converted into a three-bedroom home.
Whiteburn Projects has lodged plans to convert the gate lodge at Parkview School as part of the ongoing development of the Blackness Road site.
The school, built in 1896, is currently being transformed into 45 flats.
The lodge will be converted into a house with three double bedrooms, a kitchen and living area.
An extension to the rear of the property will also be rebuilt to help create extra space.
Eve McCurrich, Whiteburn’s development manager, said: “We had planning consent for the lodge as part of the original development for 45 units on site but we have reviewed what was initially proposed, amended it and submitted a revised planning application.
“We are looking to demolish the existing extension at the back side of the lodge and generate a nice, spacious, three-bedroom property with kitchen and living space to the front and with stunning views across the Tay.”
