A drunken Aberdeen supporter who shouted abuse at police before Dundee United’s clash with the Dons last December has been fined £400.
Lewis Howie launched the verbal assault outside Tannadice before the tie, which saw Aberdeen beat the home side 2-0.
Depute fiscal Trina Sinclair told Dundee Sheriff Court: “Police were in Tannadice Street monitoring Aberdeen fans when they saw the accused heavily under the influence of alcohol.
“He shouted ‘Tayside Police xxxxing sxxt pigs’ in the direction of the stadium.
“There were a number of other fans nearby under the influence and the situation was escalating.”
Howie, 22, of Rosehill Court, Aberdeen, pleaded guilty by letter to conducting himself in a disorderly manner by shouting, swearing and committing a breach of the peace in Tannadice Street on December 13.
Police made more than a dozen arrests before the match, most of them drink-related outside the ground, with officers also reporting a number of “skirmishes” in the streets around Tannadice.
