Dundee musician John Curran suffers stroke onstage
ByGraeme Ogston
A packed Dundee concert had to be abandoned half-way through after a popular musician suffered a stroke onstage.
John Curran (50) was playing with his band the Levee Breakers at their Gardyne Theatre show on Saturday when he started feeling unwell. The guitarist is now recovering in hospital.
John’s shocked wife Linda, who was in the audience with other family members, said she knew “straight away” that something was wrong. His bandmates told the crowd that the show had to be stopped while an ambulance was called.
