A man has appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court accused of assaulting and threatening another man.
His appearance was in relation to claims the man had given evidence to police regarding a robbery.
It is alleged James Doogan, 32, of Pitalpin Court, tried to frighten the victim into withdrawing a statement he gave police.
Doogan appeared in private before Sheriff Elizabeth Munro on a petition alleging that, on March 9 at an address in Spey Drive, while acting with another, they entered the property with faces masked and in possession of bladed articles, pushed Kevin Duggan to the ground and held him down and made threats of violence towards him, regarding providing a statement to the police in relation to a robbery and instructing him to retract the statement with intent to pervert the course of justice and attempted to pervert the course of justice.
He made no plea or declaration and was remanded while the case was continued.
