A man led police on a drunken high-speed chase after passing them in his work van outside police HQ.
Murray Fotheringham was found to have an empty bottle of wine, three bottles of beer and four tubs of porridge on the floor of the van, following the pursuit through Dundee.
He ran off after smashing the van into a parked Audi TT but was found hiding in undergrowth nearby.
He was breathalysed and found to be four-and-a-half times the legal limit. He is now facing a jail term.
Fotheringham, 32, of South Victoria Dock Road, Dundee, pleaded guilty on summary complaint to charges of drink-driving and dangerous driving, committed while on bail.
The incident took place on August 7, starting in North Marketgait, Dundee, and ending in Inverary Terrace, after a chase through Lochee Road, Tullideph Road, Ancrum Road, Logie Street and Rankine Street.
Defence solicitor Mike Short said his client accepts his guilt.
Sentence was deferred until November.
