An animal lover arranged a day of appreciation in Dundee to show support for what she sees as one of the most misunderstood creatures in the animal kingdom the bat.
Tracey Jolliffe, a former vet, hosted a day of lectures and practical demonstrations for volunteers in an attempt to promote the cause of looking after sick and injured bats.
She had put out a call to arms for like-minded bat lovers after becoming concerned by the lack of care given to sick and injured bats throughout the country and more than 100 people came forward.
The volunteers gathered at the weekend at Camperdown Park to find out more about the creatures and learn how they can help.
