Care home nurses’ misconduct was under previous owners

The new owners of Ballumbie Court Care Home in Dundee have distanced themselves from the case of the two nurses at the establishment, who were disciplined this week by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Helen Hart Scroggie and Emily Murray McKay were found guilty of misconduct for having brought the profession into disrepute.
Yesterday, a spokeswoman for current home owners HC-One said the problems occurred in 2009 when the home was run by Southern Cross.
She added: “We are appalled by what occurred. We can confirm that neither of the nurses involved has ever worked for us.
“We would never tolerate such behaviour and applaud all those who helped with this investigation.”
