Dundee-based painter Ron Lawson will open his first major exhibition of paintings on Saturday at the Eduardo Alessandro Studios in Broughty Ferry.
Hebrides, features more than 50 new works portraying the dramatic and remote landscapes of the Western Isles. Ron worked in the art studio of DC Thomson, during which time he developed his technique.
In 2010, he left to concentrate his time fully on painting. Over the last 20 years he has made frequent trips to the Western Isles, where he finds rich inspiration in the landscapes and way of life.
During the last year Ron has enjoyed success showing in Scotland and London, and is now widely regarded as the rising star of Scottish landscape painting.
The exhibition runs from Saturday until October 12.
