Leisure bosses in Dundee hope a hike in prices for using their facilities will not put people off despite new figures showing visitor numbers are dropping.
A report to councillors revealed a year-on-year drop in the number of customers using swimming pools and other indoor facilities in the city.
In 2013-14, for every 1,000 people in Dundee, there were 4,242 visits to pools.
That figure dropped to 3,969 the next year.
The numbers have also gone down again this year.
For the first six months of 2015-16, visitor numbers per 1,000 people reached 2,098, down from 2,207 for the same period the previous year.
The figures emerged as councillors propose a rise in charges for a number of services, including some pool admission prices.

Councillor Stewart Hunter, who serves on the Leisure and Culture Dundee board, said: “First of all, the Olympia has been open for a couple of years now so when it opened everybody wanted to go and the numbers were fantastic.
“But now it has settled down a bit. It’s much like when The McManus opened, the numbers were great, but then they settled down a bit.
“Secondly, Lochee’s swimming baths have been shut for quite a few months, so that’s had a knock-on effect as well.
“While it’s disappointing the numbers have gone down, by and large we are still doing a good job.”
He added: “Obviously with the budget issues, prices are something we will be looking at and as a board we will make a decision in due course.
“I would hope it wouldn’t make too much of a difference.
“It’s not a decision we would like to take, but we still feel there’s a great quality of service and product supplied.
“The Lochee baths will reopen soon and I’ve heard they are looking fantastic so hopefully we will see more people through the doors.”
