Huge queues soon built up around the Dundee University Students’ Association ahead of its opening, enabling participants to peruse each other’s handiwork.
The event offered a wealth of entertainment including film screenings and board and video game tournaments. There were also displays, writing clinics and talks on comic writing, artwork and costumes.
A large number of artists displayed their own creations for sale and there was a keenly-contested cosplay competition, with the judges spoilt for choice.
The event is organised each year by students and alumni of the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design.
Organising committee member Kerri Targett said: “It’s fantastic to see so many people come together to share their work and meet like-minded people. It’s been a fun-filled day”.
