Emergency services called to chemical leak in Dundee

A frozen food processing plant has been evacuated and one person required treatment for inhaling fumes after a chemical leak.
Police and fire crews attended the ammonia leak incident at Dundee Cold Stores Ltd on Whittle Place at around 2pm on Sunday.
One person has been treated at the scene for minor irritation as a result of fume inhalation.
All staff working at the business have been evacuated and accounted for.
Emergency services will remain on site along with specialist engineers in order to contain and deal with the leak.
Police are advising residents near Kingsway West to be aware of a strong odour as a controlled release of chemicals is carried out over the next two days.
Ammonia is a strongly smelling corrosive, which may cause irritation in confined spaces, but is not toxic.
