His subject is equipped with some of the most advanced weaponry on the planet.
So local photographer Donald Suttie could be forgiven if he had his heart in his mouth as he launched an aerial mission to capture the HMS Duncan in Dundee.
The Royal Navy’s newest destroyer has been visiting the city this weekend to mark its link to the man whose name it now bears Admiral Adam Duncan, who, in 1797, defeated the Dutch fleet at the Battle of Camperdown.
But Donald, who runs Rockwell Media in Dundee, has provided a unique view by recording the Type 45 destroyer from above using his TSB Discovery Pro quadcopter hovering camera equipment.
The stunning footage shows HMS Duncan berthed at the the King George V Wharf as a Pacific 24 sea boat puts on a show for visitors.
