A young woman has been assaulted and robbed in Dundee city centre.
The 21-year-old had been in Murraygate and walked through Peter Street to Seagate when she was attacked by a man and a woman at about 12.45pm on Tuesday.
The victim, who was wearing a red jacket at the time of the robbery, was uninjured during the incident. The thieves are understood to be in their mid-20s.
Police have been carrying out door to door enquiries in the area and have viewed of CCTV footage.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to come forward and are particularly keen to hear from the driver of a metallic green or blue coloured Citroen Picasso taxi who was seen dropping off or picking up a fare in the area at around the time that the incident happened.
Detectives also want to speak with a man who was seen nearby at the time as he may have seen something that could help enquiries.
He is about five feet nine inches tall, of heavy build and was wearing glasses. He what is described as a sports top and carried a laptop style bag or case. The man walked along Seagate towards the junction with Commercial Street.
