Planning permission is being sought to transform a former electronics showroom into a pub. The application was lodged by architect Peter Inglis working with Blue Fig Ltd to turn the former showroom at 30 Whitehall Street into a pub. The proposal asks the council for permission for a change of use on the six-storey building’s ground and lower-ground floors. There are several potential constraints on the application. The building is category B listed and located within a conservation area. Mr Inglis gave an assurance, however, that the building’s facade will remain unaffected by plans.
