Dundee United director Justine Mitchell has resigned.
Mrs Mitchell made the announcement on Twitter on Sunday afternoon.
It comes after Dundee United lost their Scottish Cup semi-final with Hibs and teeter on the brink of relegation.
She wrote: “I have resigned as director of Dundee Utd. I remain a shareholder, fan & am committed to my work with the community & DUWFC.”
Mrs Mitchell is the sister of chairman and majority shareholder Stephen Thompson and had been on the board since November 2013 when ownership of the club passed to her brother.
Her shareholding was passed on by her mother upon the death of her father, Eddie Thompson.
No reason for, or further information about, her decision was given.
