Pedestrian’s lucky escape in Dundee accident

A 31-year-old man was been knocked down by a vehicle on a busy Dundee street on Thursday night.

Emergency services were scrambled to South Road just after 6.30pm but it is believed the man was not seriously injured after the incident.

The ambulance was stood down and no one was taken to hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We had a road traffic accident where a male pedestrian was knocked down by a vehicle.

“Initially there was a large police response but it was stood down when it emerged there were no injuries.”
