Academic staff at Dundee University could be set to take industrial action as a strike ballot is being circulated in a row over job losses.
The university plans to ditch 70 posts, after 55 were axed last year.
Members may vote on strike action until 12pm on Monday April 13.
The UCU has claimed planned job losses are an insult to hardworking members of staff.
Staff are also being asked if they are willing to take action short of a strike, which could consist of measures such as only working contracted hours.
Ian Ellis, Dundee UCU branch representative, said: “Strike action is always a last resort, but we have exhausted all other avenues.”
A Dundee University spokesperson said: “The university has set an ambitious transformation agenda through which it aspires to be Scotland’s leading university transforming lives locally and globally through the creation and application of knowledge. In order to deliver this we need to achieve financial security.”
