A former teacher has settled his “whistleblower” case against an Aberdeenshire private school before it was due to be heard by an employment tribunal.
Stuart Randall was said by his agent to be “very pleased” at the outcome of his case against Lathallan School, Johnshaven.
Mr Randall, from Brechin, was scheduled to appear before a hearing in Dundee on Monday to claim his resignation from the school was constructive dismissal.
Negotiations between the two parties within the Advisory Conciliation and Arbitration Service continued last week, and these produced an agreement.
Ryan Russell, of Muir Myles Laverty Solicitors in Dundee, who represented Mr Randall, said: “We are very pleased with the settlement reached in this case on behalf of our client.
“The terms of the agreement are to remain confidential but our client is very pleased that a satisfactory resolution was reached between the parties.”
A spokeswoman for Lathallan said the school had no comment to make.
