A coastguard helicopter and Broughty Ferry lifeboat wowed the crowds during a training exercise on the River Tay on Saturday afternoon.
The new helicopter, one of several brought into service at the Inverness helicopter station, made its first visit to Dundee to practise winching and other search and rescue techniques.
The impressive display was a bonus for the hundreds of people enjoying a beautiful sunny day at the beach.
