New Traveller camps have been set up in Dundee after the one at Camperdown Park broke up over the weekend.
The group had been told to move on by council officers and complied with the terms of a legal notice, but have only moved to public land elsewhere in the city.
In their wake, they left mounds of rubbish strewn across the public park, bin bags, construction materials and scrap amid the refuse.
As many as 17 caravans have encamped upon a site in the city’s Charleston area, between South Road and the Kingsway.
It’s understood that they pushed aside large boulders to gain access to an area of green space close to the Lynch Sports Centre and private housing.
Also on the site are a variety of vehicles emblazoned with livery for paving firms, together with a large horsebox and mechanical diggers.
Elsewhere, the owners of more than 20 caravans have taken up residence on a large area of grass at the heart of Caird Park, opposite Mains Castle.
