They’re used to helping people in tricky and unusual situations.
But the Scottish Fire and Rescue crews faced their most festive challenge yet at the weekend when they appeared to be helping Santa get down the chimney.
The merry man himself was spotted on a cherry picker outside Blackness Road fire station.
One surprised Blackness Road resident said: “I was just preparing a cup of coffee in the kitchen, looking down towards the Blackness Fire Stationlooks like they’re just having a drill with Santa.”
Another added: “He’s needing help to get down someone’s chimney.”
It’s understood the good-humoured stunt was part of the Blackness Road fire station’s Christmas party.
