A man has died after being struck by a train in Dundee.
The British Transport Police and Scottish Ambulance Service were called to the incident near Riverside Drive shortly before 10.30am on Monday.
A spokesman for the BTP said: “A man died after being struck by a train in the vicinity of Riverside Drive in Dundee at 10.20am.
“There were no suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
The incident caused a number of trains to be cancelled between Dundee and Perth.
A spokesman for ScotRail said: “Sadly, due to a freight train striking a person between Dundee and Perth, services have been disrupted since about 10.20am.
“ScotRail is providing replacement buses in both directions between Dundee and Perth.”
Trains began running again from Dundee to Perth at noon but were still disrupted in the opposite direction.
