The jet-skier who has become an internet sensation after taking to the water in a flooded field in Dundee says the attention his antics have attracted is “crazy”.
Dave Reynolds told The Courier it had always been a dream of his to ride his jet-ski in Drumgeith Park which has a history of flooding but he had no idea doing so would cause such a stir.
Video views have soared since The Courier reported the story at the weekend, with thousands of people praising him for his sense of adventure.
Dave said: “It’s crazy. I saw a few people with their phones out, but I wasn’t expecting so many people to see it. One of the videos is up to 60,000 views.
“That park isn’t far from my house. It always floods and my friends and I always talk about going out on it.It was great. It was really big and deep enough all round.”

The still water of the park, he said, was much safer than the sea, where just the day before he had been hit by eight foot waves off Carnoustie.
He said: “In Carnoustie the conditions were extreme. The water was rough and there were eight foot waves.I went out there with a friends and a couple of us got into trouble.
“The waves can take you off your ski and then take the ski away and you can be stuck in the wave like a washing machine for a while.
“I’ve never seen the conditions that bad there before.”
Mr Reynolds is part of the Dundee Jetski Club and he said if his video does any good he would like it to encourage more people join the club as it is safer to go out in numbers.
Earlier on Saturday a boat was seen rowing through the partial submerged goalposts on the flooded pitch and on Sunday Mr Reynolds returned to the park with some friends.
