A man who assaulted his partner after the death of a pet frog escaped punishment at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Glenn Harrison, 44, of Esplanade, Broughty Ferry, had been ordered to be of good behaviour after admitting the offence during his appearnce on Tuesday.
Told by solicitor George Donnelly he had been of good behaviour and the couple were reconciled, Sheriff Kenneth McGowan admonished Harrison and told him there should be no repetition of his behaviour.
Harrison had previously admitted repeatedly grabbing the woman on the body and attempting to push her out of the house on October 26, shouting and swearing and forcing open a door.
After he shouted at her, grabbed her by the T-shirt and tried to put her out of the house, she pulled herself away and locked herself in a bedroom.
Solicitor Gary McIlravey said the couple had rare animals and the argument was over their care.
