Former Jimmy Shand pub becomes a magnet for graffiti

The vacant Jimmy Shand pub has become an eyesore for local residents.
Graffiti at an empty pub in Menzieshill is causing misery for one resident who has to look at it every day.
The window of Ella Carruthers’ house looks on to the vacant Jimmy Shand pub on Dickson Avenue, which has been a target for vandals since it shut.
She said: “It has been like this for three years. The graffiti is just unbelievable. It is just awful.”
She said more has gone up since the weekend which has left the eyesore looking “10 times worse”.
Police had no reports of the vandalism in the past week but community sergeant for the area Scott Finlayson said residents should report any antisocial behaviour.
