Former Dundee teacher accused of possessing indecent child images

A former Menzieshill High School teacher and church organist appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court today accused of possessing indecent images of children.

Robert Lightband, 68, of the city’s Clepington Road, appeared on a petition alleging that he downloaded and was in possession of the images between June 13 2014 and March 4 this year.

He made no plea or declaration and had his case continued for further examination.

Lightband will return to the court at a later date.
