New Broughty Ferry restaurant The Tayberry opens next week

Award-winning chef Adam Newth will open his new restaurant, The Tayberry, in Broughty Ferry on Tuesday.

The restaurant is in the former premises of The Beach Hut, which closed earlier this year leaving behind a raft of unpaid bills.

However, Mr Newth, who worked at the Castlehill restaurant in Dundee, is confident his new venture will be successful.

“Opening The Tayberry is such a big step, and an even bigger responsibility now being head chef and the owner all in one,” said the 24-year-old.

“Being able to create the finest dining experience for our customer using the very best of our Scottish larder is something we’re incredibly passionate about.”
