Warning of delays on Tay Road Bridge while temporary barriers are removed

Motorists using the Tay Road Bridge are being warned to expect a series of short delays on Tuesday evening while temporary barriers are removed.

They were put in place on the northbound carriageway last week while repair work to the permanent safety barriers was carried out.

Almost 20 metres of metal vehicle barrier had to be replaced after it was severely damaged by a car in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Drivers heading to Dundee between 6pm and 8pm could be delayed while the northbound lane is closed for periods up to 15 minutes for the work to be carried out.

Signs warning drivers of the possible delays and lane closure have been put up
