Dundee City Council is to review its procedures after a swimming instructor employed by the authority was convicted of secretly filming women in changing rooms.
Craig Brown, 31, also had indecent images of children at his home when police raided his flat.
The revelation emerged on Monday after jurors at Perth Sheriff Court took little more than an hour to convict Brown, of Balunie Crescent, Dundee, of illicitly taking hundreds of pictures of his victims.
He had been employed by the council as a swimming pool technician and lifeguard when he began taking the images in 2010 and had worked at leisure facilities until his arrest.
He also undertook roles at Perth Leisure Pool and at a number of Dundee schools where the majority of the images were made.
A city council spokesman said: “This individual no longer works for Dundee City Council. The city council acted quickly when the allegations came to light.
“We will be looking to see if any adjustments to procedures should be made following the outcome of the court case.”
During the trial, Brown readily admitted taking hundreds of illicit images of women both naked and in states of undress but denied there was any sexual element to his behaviour.
He was placed on the sex offenders register and will be sentenced at Perth Sheriff Court next month.
