A council worker is to stand trial accused of embezzling more than £40,000 from a bail hostel and criminal justice social work department office.
Agnes Beat is alleged to have defrauded £42,915.54 from Dundee City Council.
Prosecutors say she took the money while working at the East Port House bail hostel in King Street and at Fairfield House, home of the council’s criminal justice social work department.
The embezzlement is said to have taken place between April 5 2005 and April 4 2012. Beat, 58, of Tay Street, Dundee, pleaded not guilty to a charge of embezzlement on indictment.
Her trial will start in May.
