Monifieth Eco Force took part in a special Tartan Day beach clean-up on Saturday morning. A pair of young bagpipers played the 20 volunteers on their way as they set off in tartan clothing at 10am for the two-hour clean. Organiser Kristina Auchinleck said the day went well and people all embraced the tartan theme. She said: “We picked up quite a bit of rubbish. We filled 15 black bags and removed all kinds of other rubbish like big ropes from the beach. “We all felt afterwards we had done a good job.”
