Glenlaw House, a care home service for children and young people with complex health needs, has received a favourable report from the Care Inspectorate.
The NHS Tayside centre in Hospital Street, Dundee, was found to provide a very good environment and level of staffing.
The quality of management and leadership and care and support were graded as good. Glenlaw House provides short breaks for a maximum of six children who are not independently mobile and have complex health care needs.
Inspector Marianne Bain concluded that children and young people are provided with respite breaks in an attractive, purpose built environment. They are cared for by an enthusiastic, friendly and motivated staff team.
The only area for improvement was that the service should review the systems for cleaning duties in the absence of the housekeeper.
