A man who drove dangerously through residential streets to escape police is believed to have been travelling at 70mph, Dundee Sheriff Court heard.
Kevin Taylor, 29, of Donalds Lane, admitted driving dangerously at speeds grossly over 30mph, through junctions, without any attempt to stop or slow down, while being pursued by a marked police car with blue lights on.
The court heard attention was drawn to Taylor’s vehicle on Pitkerro Road due to his driving, but when police attempted to stop the car, he sped away.
He then went straight through the junction of Strips of Craigie without stopping and was later traced to Broughty Ferry.
He had been drinking but passed a breath test.
Sheriff Brown deferred sentence until February 19.
