A pensioner was taken to hospital after she was knocked down by a van in Dundee.
Paramedics treated the 70-year-old woman at the scene before taking her to Ninewells Hospital following the accident outside the Ellenbank Bar, on the corner of North Ellen Street and Alexander Street.
The woman is understood to have suffered minor injuries in the incident, which took place around 4.30pm on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed they were alerted to the accident by the Scottish Ambulance Service, who attended following a 999 call from a member of the public.
The spokesman said the incident involved a van, driven by a 25-year-old man.
He added: “Police were alerted by the ambulance.
“Initial reports said the woman was conscious and breathing but may have suffered a head injury.
“She was taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance personnel who had no immediate concerns for her safety.
“It is understood she received minor lacerations in the accident.”
A resident said: “When I heard the bang I looked outside and there was a big crowd on the street.
“By the time I got outside there were people crowding around.
“The police came a couple of seconds later. There were burst milk cartons on the road.”
