A Dundee nursery worker is under investigation after being suspended.
A letter has been sent to parents of children at The Ark in High Street to inform them of the situation.
The Care Inspectorate and the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) were unable to comment on the nature of the allegations against the staff member.
A spokesman for The Ark said they sought to deliver the highest standard of welfare and protection of their children.
He added: “The current suspension of a member of the nursery staff is a confidential personnel matter.”
A spokesman from the Care Inspectorate said: “The safety and well-being of children is always our first priority.
“We have been working closely with this service in connection with this matter.
“We required the service to refer the individual involved to the Scottish Social Services Council for investigation.”
A spokeswoman for the SSSC said: “We have received allegations which are being investigated in accordance with our normal procedures.”
